The School of Life Sciences is at the forefront of research in the biological sciences in the UK, coming in the top 10 in the REF 2014.

We wish to appoint a Scientific Officer to manage and run the School of Life Science’s Mass Spectrometry Facility. The role provides a core service facility for mass spectrometry analysis for a range of disciplines across the School of Life Sciences. The management of an effective and efficient specialist facility. Ensuring a safe environment for staff, students and visitors.

The role will also provide support to the NMR facility at a less specialised level but with sufficient expertise to ensure the facility can function appropriately in the absence of the academic lead.
