Fully-funded PhD positions through Black Academic Futures 29 views

University of Oxford

The Black Academic Futures Scholarships launching in 2020 will offer up to ten UK Black and Mixed-Black students financial support to pursue PhD (DPhil) study at Oxford.

The scholarship covers your course fees at Oxford and will provide you a grant for your living costs at the UK research council rate (at least £15,285 per year). Awards are made for the full duration of your fee liability for the agreed course.

Up to ten full scholarships are available for applicants who are ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom, who are of Black, or Mixed-Black ethnicity and who are applying to a postgraduate research degree (any full-time or part-time doctoral course, including combined master’s and doctoral programmes ie 1+3 programmes where admission is granted to both courses at the outset).

How to apply

To apply for the Black Academic Futures scholarships, all you have to do is submit your completed application for a postgraduate research degree at the University of Oxford, including ethnicity information, by the January deadline for your course to be automatically considered.

Selection is expected to take place in April 2021.
